General Medical Care

Our hospital provides comprehensive care across various specialties, addressing a wide range of symptoms and diseases. We also offer advice on maintaining overall health to help ensure a long and healthy life for your pet.

Gastroenterology

In gastroenterology, we focus on diseases related to the digestive tract from the esophagus to the colon, as well as organs involved in digestion such as the pancreas, gallbladder, and liver. Since the causes of symptoms can vary greatly, we use a combination of diagnostic tests to determine the underlying issues for animals who cannot communicate their symptoms.

Cardiology

Cardiology primarily deals with heart diseases. Many heart conditions have subtle early symptoms and are often only detected once they become severe. Therefore, regular health check-ups are essential to identify any abnormalities early.

Respiratory Medicine

In respiratory medicine, we address diseases affecting the nose, larynx, trachea, and lungs. Even common symptoms like sneezing or coughing can have various causes. For brachycephalic breeds, snoring or nasal sounds can sometimes signal underlying conditions.

Oncology

Oncology focuses on tumors or “lumps” found in the body. We use various tests to determine the type, malignancy, and stage of the tumor, and discuss potential treatment plans, including surgery, chemotherapy, pain management, and palliative care.

Nephrology and Urology

Nephrology and urology involve the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, and prostate. We address both clear symptoms like frequent urination or blood in the urine and less obvious signs like decreased appetite or weight loss.

Neurology

Neurology covers diseases of the brain, spinal cord, and muscles in dogs and cats. Common neurological issues include seizures, limb paralysis, and head tilting. For conditions not detectable with myelography or CT, we may refer cases to facilities with MRI capabilities.

Hematology

Hematology deals with abnormalities in red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. These conditions can be severe and may require bone marrow biopsies for diagnosis.

Endocrinology

Endocrinology addresses diseases related to hormonal imbalances, such as diabetes and disorders of the adrenal and thyroid glands, which can affect various body systems.

Orthopedics

Orthopedics focuses on bone, ligament, and joint abnormalities. This includes managing acute injuries as well as chronic conditions that develop with age. Please consult us if you notice walking difficulties or signs of pain.

Soft Tissue Surgery

Soft tissue surgery involves a wide range of procedures excluding bones and nerves. We handle both preventative surgeries like spaying and neutering, and corrective surgeries such as tumor removal and stone extraction. We are also equipped to perform emergency surgeries like foreign body removal and gastric torsion correction promptly.

Dermatology

Dermatology deals with skin diseases such as sudden scratching, chronic itching, and hair loss. Our in-house grooming salon offers medicated baths as part of our specialized care. We are a “FINAL ANSWER Certified Animal Hospital,” providing expert care to ensure a comfortable daily life for pets and their families.

Otolaryngology

Otolaryngology addresses problems in the outer, middle, and inner ear. Ear issues are often related to skin diseases, and chronic ear infections in dogs are frequently linked to atopic dermatitis. Ear infections can have various underlying causes and are prone to recurrence if not treated appropriately. At our clinic, we use video otoscopy for precise examination and treatment of ear canal conditions.

Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology covers eye symptoms such as discharge, redness, cataracts, and glaucoma. Eye conditions can progress rapidly, so early intervention is crucial. We provide 24-hour nursing care and can manage cases requiring frequent eye drops.

Dentistry

Dentistry focuses on oral diseases such as tartar, periodontal disease, and stomatitis. We use high-resolution dental CT to diagnose dental conditions that traditional X-rays may miss. All dental procedures are performed under general anesthesia to ensure safety and comfort, as we do not perform non-anesthetic dental cleanings.

Anesthesiology

Anesthesiology manages sedation, general anesthesia, and pain control for surgeries and procedures. Proper anesthesia management is crucial for animal safety and requires advanced skills and experience. Tests that may not require anesthesia in humans may still necessitate sedation or anesthesia for animals. We can perform anesthesia for procedures that other clinics might consider non-operable.

Imaging

Our imaging department offers X-rays, ultrasounds, and CT scans. We also perform contrast studies and fluoroscopy. Some procedures require sedation or anesthesia and may need advance scheduling, but we can accommodate emergencies with same-day service. We collaborate with Dr. Manabu Kurihara, a board-certified veterinary radiologist, to provide accurate diagnoses.
