Announcement of Continued AAHA Accreditation

We are pleased to announce that Daktari Animal Hospital Tokyo Medical Center has successfully maintained its AAHA (The American Animal Hospital Association) accreditation. First accredited in Japan in 2022, our hospital has now passed the re-evaluation required every two years and continues to hold the prestigious AAHA accreditation.

The AAHA, established in 1933, is the only historical accreditation body for animal hospitals in the United States and Canada. The association evaluates hospitals across 20 categories and over 900 criteria, assessing everything from medical care and patient management to organizational operations through both written and on-site reviews. In the U.S. and Canada, approximately 4,500 facilities, representing 15% of animal hospitals, hold AAHA accreditation.

Achieving AAHA accreditation signifies that a hospital provides safe, reliable, and high-quality veterinary care. Our goal has been to offer the highest standard of veterinary care by obtaining AAHA accreditation, reflecting our commitment to excellence. The collective effort of our staff in maintaining the highest standards in medical care, client service, and hospital management has contributed to this continued recognition, and we are delighted by this outcome.

Moving forward, we will need to undergo re-accreditation every three years. We remain dedicated to our philosophy of “Human-Animal-Nature Bond” and will continue to strive towards becoming an even better hospital, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and their beloved pets.

Sincerely,
Dr. Gen Kato, Medical Director
