The hospital always provides abundant opportunities for domestic and international exchanges in order to remain in touch with the world's most advanced veterinary medicine and veterinary science.
■Partnership with Colorado State University of Veterinary Medicine (CSU), U.S.A.
Colorado State University of Veterinary Medicine (CSU), where Dr. Kato serves as a visiting professor, is one of the best schools in the U.S. and is ranked 11th in the world (2022) in the QS ranking, which is very highly rated worldwide.
In cooperation with CSU, we have established an "exchange program" in which senior students (final year veterinary students) spend four weeks each year at our hospital. It is mutually beneficial and stimulating for our staff members to obtain the latest information on veterinary medicine in the U.S. through these students.
■Participation in domestic and overseas academic conferences
We value the continuing education of our staff and support their participation in seminars and academic conferences in Japan as well as overseas, such as the "AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association)" annual conference where veterinarians from all over the United States gather every year, "IVECCS (International Veterinary Emergency Care Conference)", "ACVS (American College of Veterinary Surgeons)", "ACVIM (American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine)", HVMA（Hawaii Veterinary Medical Association）and so on.
■In-house seminars
Director Kato has given numerous lectures at CSU and other universities and academic conferences in the United States. We therefore have many friends among overseas veterinarians and professors, and when they arrive in Japan for educational seminars, we invite them to our clinic and provide opportunities for our staff to hear directly from them about veterinary medicine and veterinary science.
