Based on the philosophy of "Human Animal Nature Bond," we believe that it is important to provide medical treatment considering not only normal treatment but also pain relief for animals that unable to speak.
At Daktari Animal Hospital, we have Dr. Ayako Oda, a diplomate of American College of Anesthesia and Analgesia, as a special part-time veterinarian to provide appropriate anesthesia and pain control according to the situation.
My name is Ayako Oda, a veterinarian and a Board-Certified Specialist in Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. I usually do not interact with clients, but I value good communication with the veterinarian(s) and the veterinary technician(s) involved in each patient to provide careful and high-quality anesthetic and analgesic management. There is always an important reason, such as a diagnostic testing or surgical treatment, for requiring anesthesia; however, people always worry about anesthetizing a patient due to a potential uncertainly. I promise that I provide the best care for each patient during peri-anesthetic period for everyone (veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and clients) to feel a sense of relief. I am also involved in education in veterinary anesthesiology to further enhance the quality of anesthetic and analgesic management of the hospital.
